Do I have to be a member to post and/or view jobs?

To view the jobs, however, you must be a member of one of the participating State CPA Associations. Click here for more information about membership. [Top]

Who looks at these jobs?
The job listings are available to members of the State CPA Societies (Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Minnesota, Texas and Wisconsin) that make up the CCFL consortium. All but a very small number of the members are CPAs.

The members work in public and private companies, nonprofit organizations, government agencies and accounting/consulting firms. They range from entry-level staff to CFO, VP and partner. [Top]

What kind of jobs are appropriate for this site?
Positions in the accounting, finance, internal audit and tax departments of public companies, private companies and nonprofit organizations. They should be positions for which you require or prefer a CPA such as controller, CFO, cost accountant, tax manager, internal auditor, financial analyst, etc. [Top]

What about bookkeeper or administrative assistant positions?
Those positions are incompatible with the positions for which CCFL members, all CPAs, would be searching.

You can post your bookkeeper position on the website of the American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers at www.aipbjobs.com. You can post your administrative assistant position on the Administrative Resources Network http://adresnet.com/ or you can try the International Association of Administrative Professionals at http://www.iaap-hq.org/. [Top]

What are the fees for posting a job opening?
There is no charge to post a job opening. [Top]

How long are the jobs posted on the website?
Jobs are posted for six weeks. As the six week deadline approaches, you will receive an email giving you an opportunity to continue the listing for an additional six weeks. [Top]

Can I edit or remove my job listings?
Yes, you can view, edit, and delete job listings you currently have posted online. Use the Job Listings Manager.  [Top]

Can I place a blind/confidential listing?
Yes, if you choose to not to reveal the company name please do the following:

  • In the APPLICATION INFORMATION section, use "Confidential" for the company name (and the contact name if needed).

  • For the "How Should Applicant Apply" field, use a generic email such as a Hot Mail or Yahoo address, or your personal email address. If you prefer the applicants to apply in writing, use your Post Office box.

Please note, even though the company name is not included in the listing, information about the company is important to the applicants. Although the ABOUT THE COMPANY field is optional, including generic information regarding the size, industry, benefits and culture of the company will help differentiate your job from the others listed.
